A major European law firm contacted us asking for assistance in recovering assets owned by a well-known Western businessman who invested his funds into the acquisition of a leading European grain storage silo in the Volgograd Region and a factory on glassware manufacturing in Shatura. The interests of the owner in the Russian Federation were represented by a friend of his, who was later suspended from operational management, though de facto he was a member of the Board of Directors where he signed blind the documents. In the result of his culpable negligence, 2 years later the enterprise was totally controlled by third persons. Though the situation was neglected and complicated, we managed to amass evidence and initiate a criminal case on causing material damage to the shareholder. Subsequently, the shareholder sold his participation in these enterprises with our assistance and under our control.
